China Digital Media Corporation Well Positioned To Implement Project To Bring Digital Technology To Homes in Guangdong Province

HONG KONG, June 05 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Digital Media Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CDGT) announced today its subsidiary, Arcotect (Guangzhou) Ltd., expects to benefit from the recent decision by Guangdong Support Center of Digital Home Service & Technologies (''Guangdong Support Center'') to select Nanhai, as a model city to implement a trial to bring digital technology to homes (the ''Digital Home Project'') in Guangdong Province. The Company is providing migration services within the city.

At a conference organized by Guangdong Support Center, the Company demonstrated various valued-added services on its IP-based STB such as music on demand, provision of real-time stock market information and sending short messages to officials and regional cable TV companies. The Company received many interests and enquiries from the audiences.

Guangdong Support Center of Digital Home Service & Technologies is formed by Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong Province, Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, Administration of Ratio, Film and Television of Guangdong Province and other related officials and departments to lead the Digital Home Project in Guangdong Province.

The purpose of Digital Home Project is to integrate various resources in broadcasting and communication providing community services to people through a digital TV broadcasting platform, which includes such services as social securities, social affairs information and communications, public announcements, home entertainment, etc.

According to an implementation schedule, a small scale of trial will be carried out in estates in second half of this year together with refining communication platform, operating system and middleware design. The full- blown trial will be launched in a selected district in Nanhai in 2007, which covers about 70,000 households. By the end of the test period, the model will be duplicated throughout the entire city of Nanhai and other cities in Guangdong Province.
